Going for a long ride can really soothe your soul. It can open a door that leads to reflection and mindfulness. When you find these moments to yourself, take the time to be aware of your surroundings and enjoy the sights and sounds around you.
To achieve mindfulness while riding follow your breath in and out, all the way through. Whether your breaths are short or long, it doesn’t matter. What is important is that you follow your in-breath from the beginning to the end. Your awareness is sustained. This minimizes any interruptions.
Mindfulness is the ability to direct the mind to where you want it to go and to be present with what is happening now.
Keep this in mind and enjoy the present, as you may not get these moments to yourself often.
